Apparatus Construction

In device and apparatus construction, our focus is also on the principle "As simple as possible – but not simpler" (based on a quote from Albert Einstein).

That means:
We develop, design, and construct as quickly, flexibly, and economically as possible here, while simultaneously finding the ideal solution – because only truly tailor-made solutions make sense here.

We design devices as individual workstations, linked workstations, or also (to extend an existing system) as components for integration.

Thanks to our 40 years of experience, we can support you in this regard with well-founded knowledge – from the initial consultation and idea through to implementation and commissioning. Just contact us!

EXAMPLE PROJECT: LEAK TEST FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR

The device is used for leak testing by random sampling for syringes in production. The design, material selection, and execution of manufacturing and assembly comply with the requirements for sterile production in the pharmaceutical industry.

The syringe bodies are placed in the test position by hand and held in place by a spring-loaded quick-release fixture. After the device is closed, the pressure heads are lowered onto the syringes and the test pressure is applied. The pressure sensor on the side of the device detects any reduction in pressure and displays this.

During the test process, the device is locked and can only be opened by the operator once the test process is complete.

The device was developed as a compact, stand-alone solution and supplied to the customer with comprehensive technical documentation.

Example project: "LED Light Engine" device

The task of this device is to position three LED light sources (R, G, B) for fixed assembly in a shared projectionhousing with an accuracy of 0.0002 mm.

The device is operated manually by the customer, in a dark room and clean room.

With this solution, the focus lies on balancing the tolerances of the components to be fitted, meaning that the tolerance chain is not aggregated – otherwise it would not be possible to achieve the required accuracy.

For adjustment of the LED light sources, the housing is precisely tensioned in the center, and the three light sources are then moved into their final assembly position, spring-loaded and pre-stressed. The exact position of each individual LED light source is set using an X/Y/Z slide combination with resolution of +/- 0.0001 mm.

This adjustment process is carried out while the LED light sources are switched on, and the result is shown live on a calibrated screen.

Example project: TABLE DEVICES FOR COMPONENT CHECKING

imageAltText

For the complete checks of components accompanying production, defined forces are applied to the test piece. The forces introduced are measured and shown to the user via a display.

The device is designed in table form for optimal ergonomic operation and is equally accessible to right- and left-handed users.

Force is generated within the test piece using a mechanical toggle lever system. The electronic evaluation system used, with a sampling rate of up to 500 measurements per second, enables the maximum force introduced to be determined extremely precisely in the event of a component breakage.

The mechanical system is designed so that both the test pin and the test socket can be easily replaced. The resulting advantages include the easy replacement of wearing parts and the possible use of modified test sockets and test pins if the customer changes components.

Example project: MANUALLY LOADED CLAMPING DEVICE

As well as complex, fully automatic devices, we also offer simple, compact solutions for our customers, as this example shows.

In line with the motto "As much as necessary – as little as possible", we developed a device for our customer that covers all requirements without an additional energy supply, by purely manual operation.

This device's task is to pick up housing components, position these exactly, fix them in place, and prepare them for processing by the customer, such as labelling tasks.

This device was designed and implemented for simple and quick set-up in an existing system operated by the customer. So as to enable fatigue-free working, easy operation and ergonomics in particular were important and decisive design issues for this manual workstation (loading and removal of components by hand).

More than 40 devices were developed and constructed and are currently in use, to the full satisfaction of our customer.

... AND THERE IS ALSO A TRADITIONAL OPTION!

A traditional, simple, mechanical measuring device is often the best solution for your requirement – why make it complicated when there is an easy way!
